This limited cassette from Nashville, Tennessee’s G.U.N. bridges the gap between the band’s scorching 2019 demo and their upcoming LP on Sorry State. G.U.N.’s sound fuses the unhinged energy of raw, underground 80s hardcore with the big vocal hooks and skate-friendly grooves of vintage O.C. punk, so this set, recorded live at a chaotic generator show at a local skatepark, showcases the band in their natural habitat. Like the best skaters, G.U.N. can shift on a dime from weightless soaring to palm-on-the-asphalt shredding, making this raw and ready set a thrill for anyone who appreciates the gnarlier things in life.
